Sunshine

Yesterday afternoon the gloom lifted and we had some sunshine. It was awesome.  I went out to run some errands and grabbed some primroses for the porch.  Nothing says springtime like primroses.  Of course it's January.  I get it.

I'm definitely not complaining about the California winter.  Sometimes that gloom though.  Yikes. I don't know how you real  winter people do it.
Have a good day!

Real winter people?!? Great wording - I'm not a winter person at all, but we can't all live in sunny California :)! Yes, someday I would like to live where there is less snow, but when in my sewing room, I forget what season it is! Love the colors of your primroses.

It went from super cold and gloomy to sunny and 75 yesterday here in Austin. Today back to gloom with around 3" of rain expected tomorrow. We do need rain.
I love primroses! Now you have that song "Life's a holiday on primrose lane..." stuck in my head. No idea how I know that song! Enjoy your day!

As much as I love it here in Colorado, I sure miss gardening in California. There are no winter flowers and primroses are available only in the spring. Cyclamen are a house plant and there are no camellias! Sad, sad, sad!

I agree with all of you! After having lived in the Bay area for five years, moving to the Midwest was shocking - garden-wise especially! After five years now I am still trying to figure out what exactly will grown here!?? So, moral of the story Pam > breathe in that sweet California beauty and know that we are all sharing it in spirit:)
