Things that are cool.

It seems like it's just been just a few days since my last photo of this pair and now they look a lot more like birds don't you think? It's so cool they're sitting there and I'm in their face with my camera. One thing for sure, there's no making this location glamorous. Its under the eaves attached to those electrical cords.

You know something not cool about having a nest of hummingbirds outside your sewing room window? Projectile bird poop on your window, on a frighteningly frequent schedule. GROSS.

Ok, it's Thursday folks, if I'm not back here tomorrow you guys have a wonderful weekend! xo

at least the birdies are ridiculously cute to distract you from the poop!
;) Have a great weekend Pam!

My mom has spent most of her adult life looking for a hummingbird nest in her gardens with no luck. I think she would wet herself if she ever saw such a thing as you have here!

LOL Pam, thats the way we felt about the doves on our deck, adorable but the mess was GROSSIEST! So the next year when they started to build a nest in the same hanging pot my husband diligently kept picking it apart. the good thing was they finally gave up and built a nest in a nearby bush so we could still enjoy them, just not so up close and personal!

It is still so amazing that you have baby birds, and baby hummingbirds at that, nesting so close.

Into life, a bit of poop must fall. For me, it's from the doggies.

I love all of your pictures of these little guys. I saw this embroidery pattern and thought of you and wanted to send you the link.

Hummingbirds are beautiful. I'm so jealous that you have a nest that you can watch and see the babies grow! We had one get trapped in our garage once...the poor thing got so tired looking for the exit (the door was open though!), that she was easy to scoop up in a butterfly net and bring outside. Oh they're lovely!

A family of robins builds in the wreath on my front door each spring. They work so hard! Last year, there were 4 little grouchy baby beaks squeezed in that tiny home. We'll use the garage door for a while.

Haven't stopped by for awhile, so I'm just catching up on my reading. These babes are adorable! In contrast, check out my latest obsession...not out my window, but at least in this state! (Their poop is MUCH larger.) http://www.farmyou.com/falcon_cams/index.html
