Cut Up

Well it's finally Friday peeps, any big weekend plans? Not much happening here, hopefully it will be dry enough to do some work outside. The rain has brought us a ton of weeds. A TON. And I don't appreciate it at all. I have some sewing days with friends coming up, and need to have some projects on hand to work on. This is the first little kit I cut myself. It's for this fun pattern that I have been coveting for some time. I'm making the small version, but it's so cute I could go bigger.
I need to get on some more precut kits for myself, I want to be ready for the sewing opportunities I have. Plus I need to shake myself out of my funk. Have you seen the wonderful things people are making these days? It's downright intimidating.
So peeps, have a great weekend ok?

You're so funny -- you show that beautiful fabric and cute pattern and expect us not to be in a funk when we leave here??? It's going to be very cool PKM -- love your fabric choices!

Sometimes its just giving a shake and having a day sewing (preferable with friends) that gets me out of a funk. But I sure now what ya mean...Spring can't come soon enough.

Hopefully, I can get some things sewn this weekend. Yes, I see all the projects that others are working on and I wish I was that energetic. I'm taking Vitamin D in hopes that it would help - lack of sunlight and all.

I'm waiting to see what weather Saturday brings as Friday is supposed to be nasty. Sunday is off to our last Sunday of the month sewing at one of the ladies in our group.

Have a great weekend.

That will very fun to use your bright fabrics in that pattern. I cut kits, so when I am in a funkie mood, I can just grab and start sewing, instead of having to go through the whole starting process.

I love that pattern! Michelle (of Busy Bee) was making one at the quilt retreat we were at - it was fun watching her progress as she but her blocks on the wall. EVERYONE was in awe. It's so stunning. I love, love, love the fabrics you picked and can't wait to see it done. Funny... I want to make this one too. STPA!

Waiting on our daily dose of snow here...and hate to hear that you are also in a funk...I'm going to force myself to sew this evening, I do think that will help a lot. And, all the stunning quilts are intimidating! I think I'll need to spend an hour of stash therapy at my LQS tomorrow looking for bright colors!

You might have saved my life! Well, not my life maybe, but something. Because I'm going to a quilt retreat next weekend and I wouldn't have thought to precut things to be ready. I would have shown up like, "Say, what's up? Quilt? Oh, yeah. Hmmmm."

OMG! I just purchased fabrics - same colors as yours (a few of the same prints). Love those fresh colors. I'm making Jelly Girl by Fig Tree.

What a coincidence, I just got that pattern in the mail yesterday. I am going to make it for my daughter who is just in love with anything British. But the request was to make it in the traditional British flag colors. So that quilt has been added to my list. Can't wait to see your version.

I love the fabrics and the pattern you're going to use! What a terrific idea to cut kits for yourself so you can always have something ready to take to sew!
