And you thought I was kidding!

I am actually working on it. And I think it's turning out pretty well. Still need some blanket stitching but I love how it came together so far.

I have a couple of super-favorite fabrics in here, first off the yellow plaid from Monica. The second I saw it I knew I wanted to use it for the basket. Another favorite is that pink in the heart, it's a piece of Lecien that I got ages ago, I saved every oddball piece because it is so pretty. And lastly.. that background. Its a white with yellow dot. YELLOW DOT. I could just swoon over it and I'm sorry I didn't buy more. If I were to make my own fabric, a yellow dot is the first thing I'd make. Well I could go on, but I should stop myself now. Yellow dot on white or just barely off white. Yum.
Back to work.. keep cool my little peoples!

It is so beautiful. Agree that the white with yellow dots are soooooo georgius. But this is typical, when I've bought a fabric I really fancy there is no more left to buy.

I love this!!! I think that I will have to buy the pattern and add it to my stash of future projects.

How do you do your applique? Hand or machine? Fusible web, what kind?

A quick note, the applique is done with fusible web. While I'm neither a applique or fusible genius, it seems pretty darn easy!

Pam, this is gorgeous! I also love those dotty fabrics. I use a red one a lot. Why are they so darn hard to find?

I guess it would be rude of me to ask for that fabric back, right? OMG... I love what you've done with it. This has just got to be the prettiest quilt and pattern ever! It's so cute it's making me weep.

Pam, you ARE The Fabric Whisperer. I love how you put things together. NO ONE does it like you. You could SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO be a consultant for fabric!

That is the cutest thing I have ever seen! It makes me want to stop all the projects I currently have going and start something like it.

Oh my gosh, Mom and saw that at your store and we wanted to buy the yardage to make a similar quilt like the sample on display to the left of the register, but Melissa said you guys had it on back order. White with yellow polka dot is pretty rare, your lucky to have some!!

Pam,
That is so pretty. I love her patterns but haven't attempted one yet. Great color choices. The basket fabric is just perfect. Do you use one of the applique sheets when doing yours? The one where you can put it down and then remove it to put on the fabric.

How can I get some of that yellow dot fabric? I've been searching everywhere for it! That applique basket pattern is just what I needed to spur me on to try to do one of my own.
